It's not Natural
If anyone disapproves of those who wish to cross-dress because they think it's not natural, I have a few things to say. I've often found when I'm talking to people, they use the phrase "it's not natural" when they want to criticize something or other. The "it's not natural" phrase is used to condemn all sorts of things. It's often used because people can't actually give a rational explanation for their reasoning. To me the term "natural" only applies to the basic physical laws of the universe. These laws apply to the smallest sub-atomic particle and the largest galaxy. Beyond that, "natural" doesn't have much meaning. If people think something is wrong, they should give a proper reasoned explanation of why they think it's wrong. But to just use the term "it's not natural" is lazy and meaningless in my opinion. Of course, there is another phrase, "it's only natural" often used to justify things. This is the exact opposite, but almost as pointless. It's a comment I'm guilty of using too. If you want to say something's OK, you should be able to say more than "it's only natural".
There are two further points that I would like to raise here. The first is that I am constantly learning. Both about what transgenderism encompasses, and also about who or what I am. The second is that one should try not to be too judgemental. That's really difficult, as it's a natural instinct to make judgements. But in the context of the transgendered world, judgements are made constantly about lifestyle choices, and such like, not only from outside the T* community, but also from within it. It's quite possible to be transgendered and not ever wish to dress, for example. It's possible to be transgendered and not even know it. It's possible that it might not be much more than a slight interest in a type of shoe. No one should feel, or be, excluded, just because they don't quite conform to a certain pre-determined type. But there is always pressure to conform, whether in the normal world, or even in sub-cultures. As long as you are not harming any one, generally, you should be allowed to live your life the way you wish to.
No one would think me abnormal if they met me in the ordinary world, but I do not see myself as normal in some ways, but it no longer bothers me. Diversity should be celebrated!
